GIS-Based Auxiliary Information System for Power Grid Planning

System Overview
GIS-Based Auxiliary Information System for Power Grid Planning makes good use of GIS data at GIS platform, power equipment distribution information and network connection status information, integrates real-time operation data in SCADA system and data rules like Power System Planning Guide, and forms GIS-based power grid planning essential data platform. On this basis, power grid planning supporting software platform is constructed, which completes integrated collection of status assessment, partitioned load prediction, and the planning section concerning optimal programming of power grid including electric capacity balance measurement, power flow, short circuit, incorporates GIS essential data platform, and provides several function modules including data acquisition and data processing, power grid assessment, load prediction, electrical capacity balance, station capacity and location optimization, network connection optimization, communication planning, reactive power optimization, electrical calculation, reliability analysis of the plan, economic efficiency analysis of the plan, and proposal generation. It could motivate power suppliers to improve power grid planning, so as to ensure the economical efficiency and feasibility of power grid planning as well as the safety and reliability of power grid; besides, it helps to achieve the goal of grid development in a coordinated way.
